![]() ![]() ![]() But, since I'm forced to choose, I have to pick Nobody's Baby But Mine. Picking a favorite SEP book is incredibly difficult. ![]() But what really made me enjoy this book was the fact that SEP touches on a pretty hard-hitting subject matter, namely the radicalization of religion for personal gain and/or the forwarding of political ideals. ![]() There are the usual SEP gems, like the lines, "She rolled down the window, thrust out her hand, and gave Reverend Ethan Bonner the bird," and "Who needs food? Your smile alone is enough to nourish me for weeks." As well as the added bonus of little two-for in terms of love affairs, with not one dreamy, romantic storyline, but two. This is almost like asking a mother to choose her favorite child… But if I absolutely MUST pick a favorite SEP book, I'd have to go with Dream a Little Dream. Julie Ann Walker, author of Full Throttle Fabulous story that I've reread numerous times!!! And as moving, in the opening when Rachel's son asks if they're going to die.Edge-of-your-seat-riveting!!! As a reader, I was right there with him, praying for him to put the gun down. When Gabe is struggling to deal with his past, questions as to why he should go on, then opens the drawer by his bed, removes the gun, and puts it in his mouth. ![]()
