FML! It appears that both are better suited to use on a boat or R.V. The NOCO (grey) is not compatible with my Delcotron group 4 alternator, so I couldn't use that one either. Turns out that most modern alternators have them built it already, as did mine, so I couldn't use it. The Cole Hersee (blue) is for an alternator that DOES NOT have a voltage regulator. I bought them so I could run my off-road lights on their own power supply (optima yellow top) without having them draw power from my starting battery. They are for hooking up 2 car batteries to a single alternator without having either one of the batteries draw power from one another while in use.
